It’s likely that during lockdown many people (myself included) took a break from wearing denim jeans – instead choosing something comfier, like athleisure wear.
However, jeans are a wardrobe staple and have been for generations, with ever-evolving shapes, silhouettes and designs.
There were some exciting looks on the A/W20 runway this year, and the denim trends that emerged caught the attention of many fashionistas due to the variety of styles, and while a lot of these trends are not new, we are seeing the reintroduction of trends from the 70s and 80s with modern flourishes, such as wide-leg and flared jeans and tapered jeans.
