Little Mix drop music video for new single “Sweet Melody”

At midnight on Thursday, October 22, Little Mix dropped their third single “Sweet Melody” from their upcoming album Confetti which is set to be released on Friday, November 6.

Fans were also treated to the music video for the single at 9am this morning (October 23) and have responded positively online, with one saying: ““Woooaaaaahhhhhh my ears, my eyes, my mind and my heart have been blessed.”

Another said: “I just can’t BELIEVE how HARD THEY SNAPPED 🔥🔥 @littlemix CAN I HAVE MY WIG BACK NOW PLEASE 😭😭😍”

Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock went to Instagram to announce the video, saying: “🔥The SWEET MELODY video is here 🔥

“We know you’ve been wanting us to do a choreo video and we absolutely loved shooting this one!! Enjoy 😘🔥”

The first single “Break Up Song” was era specific and took us right back to the 80s with bright pops of colour and disco dancing and their second single “Holiday” took us to a spa on Mars with subtle nods to Greek mythology.

The “Sweet Melody” music video is very clever in its direction and production, with the energy of “Touch” and the darkness of “Salute” they’ve redefined their upcoming album.

While the choreography is brilliant, and the unique use of editing makes a real impact visually on a styling perspective the music video is stunning.

Little Mix have never looked more fierce as a unit, and the 90s Hip Hop vibe that seems to have been adopted by the styling team is genius – the 90s is famous for developing so many trends, and there is a real sense of nostalgia about this video.
