Using real twigs, moss, greenery, pine cones and even real butterflies, you’ll create your own wreath while listening to festive music and enjoying a mince pie with mulled wine.

Horticultural expert Kate Norris, from Northumbrian Flowers has been looking after Blackfriars’ herbs and flowers for the past decade so you’ll be in great hands as she helps you to make your very own Christmas wreath.


MBC Arts Wellbeing CIC, Sunderland

28th November – 19th December

You’ll be taken step-by-step through each stage of the wreath making process with fresh moss, blue spruce and cupressus alongside Christmas ribbons, dried fruits, pine cones and cinnamon sticks.


Wynyard Hall, Billingham

13th – 28th November

Spend the morning with the florist here, crafting your own festive wreath using stunning greenery from the Wynyard Estate along with a hot chocolate and a mince pie. This session is suitable for anyone – even if you’ve never made a wreath before.


At Home

From 20th November

Fragrant pine, eucalyptus, thyme, oranges and cinnamon – Newcastle-based Pins Petals Powder have everything you need to make your wreath using traditional methods. Don’t worry there’s a video demonstration and a booklet for step by step instructions too.
