Brew Monday 2021: Staying connected for our mental health

It’s more important than ever we stay connected, even if we have to socially distance.

Samaritans Brew Monday kicks off on Monday, January 18 – the third Monday in January, also known as Blue Monday. Samaritans use this day to encourage people to get together in aid of mental health awareness and this year are encouraging people to get together for a virtual cuppa.

As lockdown prevents us from visiting people outside our household, they urge us to reach out to friends, family or a colleague for a cuppa and a chat. Just talking the time to really listen to another person could help them work through what’s on their mind.

Have a Brew Monday, any Monday or any day that works for you, because now more than ever sharing a cuppa is more than just a drink between friends.

You can connect virtually via a group video or audio call, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.

Here are a few ways you can get creative with your video chats.
