Review: BarryM Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Paint

As a treat for herself (because it’s always important to treat yourself), Faye ordered a new matte lipstick – BarryM’s Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Paint in shade On the Scene (a dark nude). Here’s her review

Price: £4.99

This non-drying, ultra-long wearing formula claimed to leave lips with a “gorgeously bold finish.” Faye’s used to matte lipsticks from Revolution, Colourpop and Jeffree Starr, so she had high expectations.

We love:
The amazing fruity scent.
It doesn’t dry too quick, so it’s buildable.
The colour is as you would expect from the tube. There’s nothing worse than a colour shock.
The small applier makes the liquid lipstick really easy to control.
Despite this ^, it dries perfectly matte.

We’d change:
It’s very liquid when first applying and the formula is thin compared to others out there.

Faye’s thoughts: I still can’t get over how amazing and fruity it smells. I’ll definitely be ordering more shades.
