We caught up with the team at Witchy Woman Wax to find out all about their new wax melt venture.
You may recognise the delicious donut shack R Place based in Newcastle, and while their donuts are proving as popular as ever, the owners have taken on a new challenge – wax melts.
Witchy Woman Wax have all the creative scents you would expect, just like the one-of-a-kind donuts they make. From Caramel Kiss to Pumpkin French Toast, there’s no wonder these melts have attracted hundreds of northerners just weeks into starting the business.
When did you get into wax making?
I got into it not even a month ago. I’m so quick to learn anything creative and got the hang of this very quickly. I love it; it’s so therapeutic to me. I love the smells and the colours. It’s just fab.
When did you start your business and why?
I started in lockdown as I wanted to make my own Bath and Body Works scents as I missed their stock in the sale.
How have you found lockdown for your business?
It’s been great in lockdown, although I have nothing to compare it to as this is when it started!
How does your popular donut business influence your scents?
The shop is fantastic for it. We have 21,500 followers and I’m about to stock the shop with them as so many people have been asking.
What do you love most about the north?
It sounds so cliche, but absolutely everything. The people are so friendly and the food scene is amazing. As a chef for 10 years, I always appreciate great food.
How can Style-and-Wear readers support you?
Just follow my page and order when a scent takes your fancy, and of course spread the word.
Keep an eye on our website for a review of some of the melts coming soon.
