IDA Announces 14th Annual Gala Live Streaming Event and you’re invited

To honour the outstanding winners of the 2020 IDA, an online award ceremony gala event will be streamed on Wednesday, March 10.

Due to the circumstances and restrictions posed by the pandemic, the International Design Awards Gala Ceremony normally held in LA, was cancelled.

The IDA Gala will be live-streamed live around the world on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and the official IDA website at 1pm (GMT).

International Design Awards

Everyone is invited to witness the design projects from all corners of the globe in categories of Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic and Fashion Design.

Commenting on specific trends that the jury saw in the IDA submissions, Jury member Sheng-Hung Lee, Designer and Engineer at MIT and IDSA Boston Vice Chair said: “Designers are in the era of tackling systemic social design challenges. The role of the designer has shifted from a problem solver to a culture shaper. Great IDA projects the judges reviewed did not only provide a single design solution, but also considered a series of potential possibilities in the context of transformation/change as well as re-thinking about the role of the designer in the lens of the soft/human side of design skills such as shaping organizational culture, leadership building and social-related issues.”
