To mark the milestone, River Island will donate 10% of all RI Baby sales across a 48-hour period to the charity. The campaign will run from Friday, March 26 to Saturday, March 27 and applies to all RI Baby purchases made online.

River Island has supported Newlife since the very beginning, raising money via an annual bag levy, which sees proceeds from the sale of River Island carrier bags in-store donated to Newlife, alongside campaigns such as “Do Something Wonderful” which was launched AW20 and helped to fund services such as Newlife’s play therapy pods.

Newlife’s Play Therapy offers children with disabilities the opportunity to receive an at home ‘play pod’, which supports stimulated interaction to aid cognitive and physical skill development.

Will Kernan, CEO, River Island said: “We commend Newlife for their extraordinary work over the past 30 years, the services provided make a huge difference to the children and families who benefit from them. We look forward to continuing our relationship and helping to raise funds and awareness for this fantastic charity.”

The pandemic has hit charities had and they require more support than ever. New life is the UK’s leading charity provider of specialist disability equipment, spending £3.6 million a year providing vital services for disabled children and their families. River Island aims to continue making contributions in support of the charity, raising their profile and funding the important work they do.
